Texas House Subcommittee on Transportation Funding – Interim Hearing

Transportation funding will remain a critical issue as Texas continues to address the infrastructure needs created by population growth, expanding freight volumes and economic development.

For Texas’ short line and regional railroads, these discussions matter.

Short lines connect Texas businesses, farms, manufacturers, ports and communities to the national freight rail network. Ensuring rail infrastructure and freight mobility remain part of the statewide transportation conversation is essential to maintaining Texas’ economic competitiveness.

TSLRRA will continue monitoring these meetings and advocating for policies and investments that strengthen Texas’ freight rail network.

Stay engaged. Stay informed. And continue making the case for the importance of rail to Texas.
